Green light: the KIA Cold Hawaii PWA World Cup presented by Thisted Forsikring and Citylift A/S

The organisers of the Cold Hawaii PWA Windsurf World Cup are proud to announce KIA Motors as the title sponsor, and Thisted Forsikring and City Lift A/S as presenters of this year’s event which will be held for the sixth time in Klitmøller (DK) from 14th to 20th September 2015. Project Manager Robert Sand:

"The whole team behind the event has been working hard to secure the financial backing as soon as possible. Now we look for new ways to make the event more engaging and entertaining to the public,” Robert teases.

”We already have the best live streaming on tour, but we will be upping our game even more with minor tweaks to improve the experience for all the windsurfing fans out there. Our goal for this year is that every windsurfer with internet connection gets the feeling of standing with us on the beach and cheering his idols; all this without having to wear a thick jacket."

As expected the organisers of the Danish stop of the PWA Wave World Tour will not only improve the digital setup. When the world’s best windsurfers hit Klitmøller there will be a special novelty: the official Cold Hawaii Beer, made from local ingredients and brewed on-site, of course. Well then, cheers to a windy event in 2015!

Thomas Traversa, reigning World Champion and winner of last year's event: "Klitmøller is a place where I always feel at home, not only because there are perfect windsurfing conditions here, but because since my first visit, it is a perfect place for me to spend time with my girlfriend and our dogs. Now we travel to Denmark for the first time as a family and bring our little daughter with us. Of course I’d love to win again!”

Philip Köster, triple World Champion: "I’m looking forward to going to Klitmøller again. Conditions are usually radical, sometimes chaotic, often cold – always a great challenge. Just what I like! I am very happy there and hope for the usual competitive conditions that were not so perfect, unfortunately, in the last two years. But this year it will work for sure!"
